One of their latest variety content “ASTRO Hostel” saw a rapid influx of positive reactions and comments as fans were expressively excited to see their favorite idols in this concept. Although not all members starred in this youtube series, with just 3 members: JinJin, Yoon SanHa, and MoonBin, the show was just as entertaining and filled with memorable moments that fans will not forget anytime soon. As we hope for more variety show content from the idol group, here are some concepts we think they could try.
1. Detective Series
Let’s put our thinking caps on and solve a crime, shall we?! The members of ASTRO are not just talented performers but they are also brilliant. And we are sure fans would love to see their smarts on display in this type of series. Each episode sees the members either coming together to solve a criminal case or trying to find out who amongst them committed the crime.
2. Hosts of a bar on the beach
The beach, good drinks, great meals, and ASTRO members, this sounds like the perfect combo for a healing and entertaining variety show. In this concept, we get to see how the ASTRO members would manage a bar as owners, handling the day-to-day expenses, cooking, taking orders, and serving, making signature cocktail drinks, and most importantly having a chance to connect with fans who pose as customers. In the midst of all this, we get to see their bond and connection grow even stronger, which also fosters a deeper connection between them and fans.
3. Let’s go camping!
7 days in the woods, no phones, no internet, no electrical appliances, be at one with nature. This kind of concept might be a bit difficult and stressful, especially with the ease of modern-day technologies but we believe the ASTRO members can make this even more fun and entertaining. Filled with so much chaos, we expect so much bickering from member Yoon SanHa as JinJin tries to calm him down and Rocky dotes hard on Cha EunWoo, who is busy being impressed by MoonBin flexing his muscles doing the heavy lifting while MJ sits back and makes fun of all of them.
4. Who runs the kitchen?
This somewhat competition kind of concept would follow the members and their cooking skills which would be judged by a team of fans. Every episode, viewers get to see the members make a signature dish that would be tasted by fans who do not know which particular member’s food they are eating. At the end of each episode, the member with the best food as voted by the fans wins.
5. Who is the athlete in the group?
This series would follow the members engaging in various sporting events, from football, basketball, bowling, jumping, etc. Bringing out the competitors in them, they will all thrive to come on top and viewers will get to enjoy their signature hyper energy and chaotic nature. The members of ASTRO are known for their fit athletic body figures, so this kind of concept should be well within their wheelhouse. Do you think this kind of concept is fun?
