An idol who deserves so much recognition but gets so little, here are some of the vocal performances that make him the vocal gem of K-Pop.

1. BLACKPINK- ‘Lovesick Girl’ cover

Perhaps one of the best covers of this song, ONEUS’ SeoHo alongside LeeDo delivered a brilliant and fun performance of this hit song. SeoHo’s vocal colors in this cover performance were so beautiful and his tone was very pleasing to the ear. Effortless like a flowing stream of water, he showcases his amazing vocals without so much as a strain while hitting different registers. P.S, kudos to them for sticking with the original lyrics.

2. ‘LUNA’

There is a certain feeling that is derived from watching SeoHo perform. It is this magical warmth that is caught in his eyes, his aura, his stage presence, it is fierce but calming, and it is powerful but graceful. And his vocals! An angelic tone that makes one ask for a headcount in heaven because an angel most definitely be missing. Without a note out of place or tune, his vocals are a magnetic pull that completely captivates you, filling you with an indescribable desire for more!

3. ‘A Song Written Easily’

If there is one thing that often makes ONEUS’ SeoHo standout amongst his peers, that one thing would be his outstandingly unique vocal tone and texture. From his enunciation, his riffs and runs to his high notes, his vocal features are distinctive and memorable. The fluffiest human on stage while being wowed by his incredible vocal cords, you’re also in a space of warmth as his Teddy bear-like facial features exude so much comfort even when he is delivering some intense dance moves and breathtaking vocals.

4. ‘No Diggity’

He snapped, he ate, he understood the assignment and he delivered beyond expectation. With this performance, ONEUS’ SeoHo pushed the mantle for what it takes to be an amazing vocalist and a well-rounded performer even higher. The consistency in his vocal tone while delivering that intense exercise-like dance moves is beyond mind-blowing. It is simply unexplainable. His breath control is amazing and his technique, his enunciation, and his texture are best described as perfect. There is a level of professionalism and standard that SeoHo always delivers in any performance, with any concept and genre that has set him apart from many and rightfully given him the term “one of the vocal leaders of the 4th generation”.

5. ‘Come Back Home’

With SeoHo, the term “consistency” is synonymous with a refined growth, as with each song or performance there is a clear signal of growth in his already outstanding vocal talent. SeoHo proved that he truly is the vocal ace of K-Pop as he flawlessly delivered a vocal performance that left viewers in a perplexed state of wonder and awe, as we all ask ourselves “how does he keep getting better?” The answers could be found in the cameras of RBW’s practice room, as we can only imagine the hours and efforts he has put into not just owning his technique but consistently refining it to a level where he is now regarded as a vocal standard in K-Pop.

6. Bruno Mars - ‘Talking to the Moon’ cover

The power in his vocals! There is a sense of sincerity that can be found in his vocals during this performance. Absolutely beautiful, his vocal tone is so smooth and soothing, and his enunciation is once again flawless. This is like a love letter to TO MOONs and every other listener who can appreciate just how much of a gifted singer he truly is.

7. BTS - ‘Epiphany’ cover

With this cover performance, many viewers will have an epiphany, a certain realization that SeoHo is truly one of the vocal gems of K-Pop. Soft yet powerful and very emotional, this amazing performance in a simple setting still renders the same energy and charisma that it would on a stage or concert. His soaring vocals cut through regardless of his set as he fully immerses himself, portraying a range of emotions with his voice that is so captivating and enchanting.

8. ‘Incomplete’

This vocal performance has to be written in the books of the best vocal performances in K-Pop. We could go on and on about how unique and distinctively perfect SeoHo’s vocals are and no matter how many times it is said, it simply is not just enough. So, let’s say it once again, SeoHo’s vocals are perfect! His tone and texture are so rich and exquisite. His vocals on this song and frankly like every other song he sings are just simply fantastic and refreshing like a breath of fresh air.

This might not be solely focused on SeoHo but this amazing collaboration with rock powerhouse ONEWE deserved more recognition.
