When asked about how the actors prepared for their roles, each one had an incredible answer. Cha HakYeon shared that a challenge for him was to cut his hair short once again after he had grown his hair out following his military discharge. He studied the movements of police officers and asked them questions to better understand his role. Han JiEun said that she paid attention to her character’s appearance because she wanted to break away from the stereotype of always playing cute and pretty characters. She and her makeup team spent a lot of time on her appearance as she curled and tied up her hair. JiEun also shared that she stayed away from ad-libs because she wanted to stick to the script. Wi HaJun revealed that he trained a lot for his role. He watched a lot of comedy TV shows and films and tried to stay in character at all times on set. He admitted that he isn’t really funny in real life so he tried to joke around more for the sake of his character. When it came to Lee DongWook, he plainly said that he did not prepare much, albeit with a chuckle. He wanted to stick to the script but he also had the freedom of expressing the character the way that he wanted. He also revealed that the most difficult part of playing his character, however, was overcoming his laziness. From being at loggerheads to fighting side-by-side for justice, the ‘bromance’ between Lee DongWook and Wi HaJun is greatly anticipated by viewers worldwide. Talking about how they built their chemistry, Wi HaJun expressed that although their characters cannot stand each other at the start, they will progress on to working well with each other. Wi HaJun revealed that his on-screen chemistry with Lee DongWook was very strong and they were able to work together perfectly even without detailed coordination. Lee DongWook started joking, saying “I don’t have any,” before recalling that he is a super football fan and would be up in the middle of the night to catch live matches. “The World Cup period was when I was most tired,” laughed Lee DongWook. Wi HaJun revealed that he was obsessed with MMA and martial arts techniques as they helped with his work in action scenes. Han JiEun described herself as a foodie and revealed that she eats before going to bed regardless of how exhausted she is. She loves mukbang videos and is always on top of the latest food trends. She further shared that she is excited to eat basil tteokbokki after the press conference if she is able to. Cha Hak Yeon spoke about how he was so immersed in work that he completely forgot about the time as he exercised and ate at home. When he came back to his senses, he was shocked to realize that more than ten days had passed!
