The drama follows the story of Woo YoungWoo (Park EunBin), who is on the autism spectrum with a genius IQ and became the first autistic lawyer in Korea. The drama takes on her journey about how she takes on different cases. Lee JunHo (Kang TaeOh) is an employee in the same law firm as YoungWoo. He is in charge of handling various litigation-related tasks and securing evidence. JunHo is known for his kind and amiable nature, which has made almost all female employees fall for him. Yet, his heart has been stolen by Woo YoungWoo, even though he has not fully confessed, his heart eyes have made it clear. Here are the reasons why JunHo is a ten, and we are all rooting for him.
1. JunHo Attentively Listens To Woo YoungWoo Talk About Whales
Even though YoungWoo was taught by her father that she must not talk about whales at work, JunHo willingly offers to talk about it whenever they are alone. She would call or approach him out of the blue just to talk about whales. This helps her learn to control herself by talking about whales in front of others. Later, JunHo offers that they talk about whales during lunchtime, hence she learns to contain herself. In episode 4, he takes her to the conference room where a real life-sized painting of a whale is hung. He knew that she would love to see it. Upon seeing her become teary eyed at the sight, he himself is taken aback at how pure she is. The expressions at the moment were enough to tell that he fell further in love with her
2. He Does Not Judge YoungWoo
JunHo was among the first people who did not judge YoungWoo at first, either be it her struggling through the revolving door or her obsession with whales. He was willing to help her and listen to her all day. One thing to notice is that JunHo is not especially nice to YoungWoo because of her disability. He is an overall amiable person who tends to approach anyone like that. JunHo helps YoungWoo adapt to the environment without pitying her. He didn’t even hesitate to admit to himself that he had grown fond of her. There is no scene that would show him being in conflict about liking her. And soon, when he sees her in the bridal dress, he is absolutely love-struck. In fact, he makes an effort to grow closer to her, like buying a gift or taking her to see the sunset. His feelings are pure not out of sympathy which makes him all in all the best boyfriend one could ask for.
3. JunHo Gives Woo YoungWoo Confidence Whenever She Doubted Herself
In episode 3, YoungWoo struggled with handling the case of Lee JeongHun (Moon SangHoon). JeongHun is also on the autism spectrum but at the extreme end. He was accused of inflicting bodily harm which resulted in the death of his older brother. WooYoung’s team appealed for insanity to reduce his sentence but the prosecutor attacked her for being autistic too. Later, she was even requested to be removed from the case by JeongHun’s father (played by Sung KiYoon). This made YoungWoo lose confidence in herself as an attorney and she submitted her resignation. Though in episode 4, she has to help her friend GueRami (Hyun Young), whose father was conned by his elder brothers into dividing her grandfather’s land. So YoungWoo has to return to the office so she can fight the case. On their way back from GueRami’s place, JunHo takes YoungWoo to the sunset. There he asks why she wanted to resign and then continues to assure her that he needs her by his side as an attorney. Later in the episode, YoungWoo decides not to resign and continues to work as an attorney.
4. He Will Held The Elevator For YoungWoo
In episode 3, JunHo and the other office workers were waiting before the elevator to go for lunch. Just as the elevator opens JunHo sees Woo YoungWoo coming so he rushed in and held the doors open for her. Even though, she rushed in the office to get her lunch and one of the colleagues complained to be hungry, he kept the door open till she stepped in. “Extraordinary Attorney Woo” has brought us yet another perfect man and raised our standards further. One cannot but fall because of how perfect he is.
