Looking at the official posters released by tvN, at first glance it seems as if it will be your typical romance story, with food being one of the links between the two main characters. However, following its release, the drama shows that its plot is much more complex and has a whole bag of twists and turns waiting for its viewers. Now, let’s talk about the reasons why “Link: Eat, Love, Kill” should be on your watchlist.
1. Chemistry Between Leads
With leads like Yeo JinGoo and Mun KaYoung, it’s hard not to start this drama and watch “Link: Eat Love Kill” for their acting alone. But one thing to look out for is their already built in synergy. That’s because this is not the first time they’ve been on screen together. Yeo JinGoo and Mun KaYoung have acted together before in two K-Dramas as child actors: “Ja Myung Go” and “The Reputable Family”. They have even discussed what it’s like to reunite after 13 years in an interview with tvN. From the interview alone, you can see that they feel comfortable with each other as they fondly reminisce about the past and talk about their upcoming drama. That comfort and familiarity is sure to appear on screen as they portray the relationship between Eun GyeHoon (Yeo JinGoo’s character) and Noh DaHyun (Mun KaYoung’s character).
2. A Buffet of Food Scenes
With Eun GyeHoon being a famous chef and Noh DaHyun’s family owning a restaurant of their own, there are bound to be a variety of food scenes throughout the drama’s run. So far, we have already been treated to high class dining in fermented halibut apple wrap and an extravagant home cooked feast prepared by DaHyun’s mother, Hong BokHee (played by Kim JiYoung). Thinking about what dish they might serve up next already has our mouths watering.
3. A Mixture of Genres
This drama includes elements of fantasy, romance, and mystery, appealing to a wide spectrum of potential viewers and fans. These genres mesh in a way that piques the viewer’s interest from beginning to end. The plot has already shown a mixture of heart fluttering moments and scenes that are hard-hitting and heavy, showcasing the drama’s ability to keep viewers at the edge of their seats as they wait to see what might happen next.
4. A Good Mystery
Yeo JinGoo said in an interview that he was curious about what stories there would be behind the “Link” phenomenon. Having watched the premiere of “Link: Eat, Love, Kill”, we can see why he said so. With the mystery behind Eun GyeHoon and Noh DaHyun’s “link”, GyeHoon’s family, and the suspicious air around the residents of Jihwa-dong, there are many things to look forward to as the plot continues to unravel.
